I Weighed in at 472 Pounds

Date: 07.08.2013 | Testimonials

Before surgery“In a life filled with an appetite suitable for a dinosaur I was lost amongst the crumbs. I weighed 505 pounds at my heaviest recorded weight. The thought of eating was embarrassing. I would eat a normal amount then finish my kids plates. When no one was looking I would finish off the pan.

I lost a daughter in 2006 she was 15 months old. The youngest of my four daughters. I was devastated. My baby was gone and she wasn’t coming back. Instead of crying or talking I began eating to avoid answering questions and dodging uncomfortable situations. I was already an obese person. Now I was considered “super morbidly obese”. My other three daughters were embarrassed to be seen with me. I was no longer their dad but the fat guy with them.

I almost died in January 2010. I was diagnosed with right side heart failure, severe sleep apnea and asthma. I was placed on 6 liters of oxygen while awake and 10 liters while I slept. I had to have a tracheotomy in hopes of surviving. My only option to live was to have gastric bypass surgery.

Dr. Tillquist placed the trach in January 2010. He also completed a RNY gastric bypass surgery in June 2010, I weighed in at 472 pounds. In October 2010, I had improved my health enough to be taken completely off oxygen and had my trach removed. No longer having sleep apnea or asthma. My heart is still recovering.

It is now April 2011 and I weigh 238 pounds on my home scale. This surgery did not just improve my life, it gave me life. I can play with my kids. I can go for a walk with my wife. I can do all those things I was once not able to do.

After surgeryI implore you to consider this type of weight loss tool. If used correctly you will be successful. The team of Eileen, CJ and Dr. Tillquist are the best at what they do. Thank you all for my new found life!
